BØRGE Ousland, the famous polar explorer of our time
Norwegian explorer and author Børge Ousland is a fearless adventurer. Børge was the first person to complete a solo crossing of the North and South Pole, and he is curious, confident and brave. He dragged a supply sled weighing up to 150kg, endured freezing temperatures on his extremities, and encountered polar bears in pursuit of his extreme goals. A former deep-sea diver and Norwegian SEAL, Børge embarked on his first expedition across Greenland in 1986. On subsequent expeditions, he collaborated with French explorer Vincent Collard and, more recently, Mike Horn.
“Be the change you want to see in the world. If you are part of the problem, you must also be part of the solution. Since I first set foot in the polar oceans in 1990, ice cover has dropped by more than 60% I’ve seen how it’s changed. In my lifetime. It’s a completely different landscape, it’s happening because of climate change. But nothing is bad. Even the problem, in one way or another Okay. Because that’s how we respond to the challenges we face, that defines who we really are. Maybe, we can use this huge challenge that climate change really represents to bring out the best in us and reveal what humanity can be what kind of person.” fake watches for sale
