Materials
Richard Mille did not flinch from 055 Bubba Watson’s bones. The stunning white case is made of two materials. The bezel is made of special ceramics obtained from an alumina powder tube (called matte ATZ) injected at a pressure of 2,000 bar. This provides the baffle with a constant color and high scratch resistance. The case and bottom cover are made of grade 5 titanium. In order to enhance the ability to resist vibration and protect the movement, a protective rubber coating is injected around the titanium alloy at high pressure. The bridge is also made of grade 5 titanium and coated with black PVD to increase weight and stiffness. When looking at the finishing effect, you will see RM’s attention to detail: polished pivots, textures completed in straight parts, bevel angles hand-polished.
design
RM 055 Bubba Watson fake is easy to wear on eyes and wrists. The transparent large face of the wine barrel is framed by white, which is in sharp contrast to the movement of the dark bone floating on the case. However, it is elegant enough to not appear flashy or distracting. The overall aesthetic is balanced and can serve the wearer well. Although the timepiece itself has a high-end modern look, the integrated rubber bracelet allows it to be worn on any occasion: formal, casual and active.
