The MB&F Legacy Machine 1 makes a powerful comeback, returning to the arena in a new guise: the LM1 EVO.

More compact and designed for genuine travel adventures, the LM1 EVO features a redesigned power reserve indicator and an extended power reserve.

When the MB&F Legacy Machine 1 (LM1) debuted in 2011, it stood out as an outlier within a collection otherwise defined by futuristic, space-themed timepieces. Featuring the brand’s first-ever round case, the LM1—with its classic Roman numeral hour markers, lacquered dials, and distinct 19th-century aesthetic—resembled a pocket watch transported through time into the 21st century, rather than an instrument from a spacecraft. Yet, the LM1’s signature three-dimensional architecture and its prominent, suspended “flying” balance wheel quickly dispelled any concerns that the brand’s core identity might be diluted. The LM1 set the tone for the illustrious Legacy Machine collection, enjoying a successful six-year run before being discontinued in 2017. But in the world of MB&F, anything is possible: the LM1 has made a triumphant return as the LM1 EVO, now tailored for a more active lifestyle.

The original Legacy Machine was Max Büsser’s tribute to the great horological innovations and master watchmakers of the 19th century, infused with the dynamic design language of MB&F. Housed in a 44mm round case, the watch features two independent time zone displays, a massive 14mm flying balance wheel suspended beneath an arched bridge, and a vertical power reserve indicator that lends the piece a unique character. Highly practical, the online fake watch allows each sub-dial to be set via its own dedicated crown, enabling precise, minute-by-minute adjustments.

The EVO Collection
Since 2011, the LM1 has paved the way for an increasingly sophisticated family of Legacy Machines—most notably the LM Perpetual, a highly complex and innovative timepiece developed in collaboration with Northern Irish watchmaker Stephen McDonnell. Recognizing that high-performance mechanical watches are often impractical for everyday wear—vulnerable to shocks, impacts, and water ingress—Büsser introduced the “EVO” concept with the LM Perpetual. This philosophy was further embodied in the LM Sequential EVO—a striking dual-chronograph designed by Stephen McDonnell.

To enhance durability and withstand the rigors of daily life, the EVO-series timepieces feature a redesigned case (typically crafted from zirconium or titanium), a screw-down crown ensuring 80 meters of water resistance, the patented FlexRing shock-absorption system, and a comfortable, robust integrated rubber strap. Following the LM Perpetual, Split Escapement, Sequential, 101, and Sequential Flyback, MB&F has now extended the EVO treatment to its iconic LM1 model.

LM1 EVO
The LM1 EVO features a more compact, ergonomic 42mm case with a thickness of just 16.8mm—a measurement that accounts for both the highly domed sapphire crystal over the dial and the box-style sapphire crystal on the caseback—and is equipped with two screw-down crowns. One version pairs a titanium case with a rhodium-plated dial, black sub-dials, and blue, arrow-shaped hands treated with luminous material. A luxurious rose gold version is also available, featuring a rich green dial, black sub-dials, and gold hands with luminous coating. replica watches Popular

The case’s distinctive bezel-less design allows the steep curve of the sapphire crystal to integrate seamlessly into the housing, letting more light reach the movement’s mainplate. A high-tech thermal bonding process fuses the crystal directly into the metal case, significantly bolstering the structure’s overall strength.

While the two dials—displaying independent time zones—and the 14mm balance wheel remain the visual focal points, there are other notable updates. Most notably, the power reserve indicator now features an inclined, arc-shaped design, reflecting an increased power reserve of 60 hours (up from 45 hours in the original LM1). Furthermore, the original 2.5 Hz slow-beat balance wheel has been upgraded to a Straumann double hairspring to enhance precision and isochronism, with the regulating system positioned beneath a redesigned titanium bridge.

This manually wound movement was developed in-house by Jean-François Mojon and features an increased power reserve of 60 hours. It incorporates traditional 19th-century finishing techniques—executed under the supervision of Kari Voutilainen—including polished countersinks for gold chatons, Côtes de Genève (Geneva stripes), chamfered edges with anglage (internal angles), hand-engraving, and modern, black NAC-coated bridges.
