New Product: Seiko Astron GPS Solar-Powered Dual Time Zone Chronograph
To celebrate the company’s 145th anniversary (1881), Seiko has launched a new product – the Astron GPS Solar-Powered Dual Time Zone Chronograph.
Four new watches have been released. Three are from the regular collection, and one is a limited edition. The three regular collection watches feature different dial color schemes – blue-grey, black, and black with gold. The first two come with titanium bracelets, while the black with gold model has a silicone strap. All three watches have black bezels.
But what truly stands out is the case. The case is crafted from titanium and coated with Seiko’s signature super-hard coating. The case back features an octagonal bezel with a beveled finish. This bezel covers the multifaceted middle layer of the case. New Movement and New Dial Layout
In 2012, Seiko elevated electronic watchmaking to a new level with the Astron GPS Solar watch. This limited-edition watch celebrates the anniversary with blue accents in key areas of the dial. The blue seconds markers and sub-dials contrast sharply with the bright light silver of the main dial, creating a fresh, modern, and sophisticated look. Thanks to the new movement, the sub-dials are arranged in a symmetrical horizontal layout on the main dial. Against the backdrop of the main dial’s intersecting triangular geometric pattern, the overall design exudes a calm and understated elegance.

This new timepiece inherits Astron’s signature dynamic case design, with its striking multifaceted contours.
