Introducing the final version of the Urwerk UR-230, the Black Star Edition
Urwerk concludes its 230 series with the Black Star, with the next model slated for release in 2026.
Every great story has an ending. The UR-230 series, which debuted in 2023, was the latest addition to Urwerk’s beloved 200 series, following the popular UR-210 and UR-220. The UR-230 Eagle continued the design philosophy of its predecessors, retaining the iconic satellite display we’ve loved since 2006, while incorporating new features such as dual variable geometry turbos and a hybrid winding system. The subsequent UR-230 Polaris featured a stormtrooper-inspired ceramic body. Now, the UR-230 Black Star returns to the classic black and yellow color scheme. But overall, it’s the final chapter of the series. However, this is not the end of the story. More exciting content is coming next year…
The UR-230 series FAKE watches feature a newly developed yet familiar aerodynamic case design. The first release, the Eagle version, uses a case crafted from black DLC-coated titanium and CTP (carbon fiber thin layer) carbon fiber, and is equipped with a matching phone case back to protect the sapphire crystal – a classic Urwerk design. The UR-230 Polaris version then uses advanced ceramic composite materials to create a layered case with an even more dazzling brilliance. The final version of the UR-230 series, the Black Star, maintains the same style as the previous two watches, but differs in materials. While the appearance differs from the Polaris version, the case itself is identical, measuring 44.81 mm (width) x 53.55 mm (length).
The three watches in the 230 series are now available in a new black and yellow color scheme, with a sealed titanium case (water resistant to 30 meters), inspired by a mechanical safe. The UR-230’s case is constructed from a composite ceramic body and a black DLC-coated titanium case back. The case is made from a laminated composite ceramic developed specifically for this purpose by Urwerk, fusing layers of woven ceramic, glass fiber, and carbon fiber within a polymer matrix. After machining, the surface exhibits a gleaming embossed effect and is adorned with sparkling dots.
The dial design of this UR-230 Black Star watch is equally ingenious and sophisticated, representing an evolution of the 210 and 220 series. It features a satellite complication with a wandering hour display and retrograde 3D hands, with a central hub connecting three cubic hour satellites. These three quadrilateral modules move within a 120-degree sector every 60 minutes. The current hour—that is, the hour rolling along the minute track—is controlled and guided by a skeletonized retrograde hand that accompanies the hour from 0 to 60. After 60 minutes, the hand immediately returns to zero, controlling the next satellite. The dial is predominantly grey and black, accented with yellow luminescent material.
Besides time display, this fake men watch features several complications. It is powered by a unique self-winding movement (Vaucher movement) regulated by a dual-turbine system. One turbine absorbs external shocks, while the other regulates airflow in the automatic winding mechanism, acting as a true aerodynamic brake. A control on the case back adjusts the rotor load and can even completely shut down the rotor, switching to manual winding mode. Two symmetrical indicators at 11 o’clock and 1 o’clock display these settings. This UR-7.30 movement offers a 50-hour power reserve.
This Urwerk UR-230 Black Star luxury replica watch comes with a yellow vulcanized rubber strap with a Velcro clasp.
