Audemars Piguet Introduces the Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon “Spiderman”

New and improved Marvel collaborations.

Two years ago, Audemars Piguet copy introduced the Royal Oak Concept “Black Panther,” which was, to put it mildly, a sensational watch. Although the combination of comics and complications was unorthodox, the watch was a commercial success.

Now AP is following up – as promised – with its second Marvel collaboration, the Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon “Spider-Man.” Like its predecessor, it has a miniature sculpture of a superhero as the dial, which is again the Royal Oak concept, but now powered by a new caliber.

The Royal Oak Spider-Man watch also continues the philanthropic tradition created by its predecessor. A unique version of the new watch, the Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon ‘Black Suit Spider-Man’ depicting a black and silver superhero, will be sold at auction to fund First Book and Ashoka, two charities that bring education to education Agency for disadvantaged youth.

initial thought
In some ways, the Royal Oak Black Panther is not serious enough for such an expensive watch; it might be too purple. While its aesthetics are subjective, it’s certainly well executed. The miniature sculptures are well done in detail, color and form.

The same goes for the Royal Oak Spider-Man, but it’s a far more engaging watch. For starters, it’s not as purple, but more monochrome, with most of the watch in black and white, leaving only the superhero figure to convey color. The placement of the graphic itself is better as it allows more of the movement to be seen, especially the large domed tourbillon bridges.

Spider-Man can get a lot of flack simply because that’s the way it is. But it’s more engaging than its predecessor.

The Spider-Man figure was created in much the same way as its Black Panther counterpart. The process of making each model required about 50 hours of work, according to the Associated Press.

A rough blank is first ground out of a block of gold on a CNC machine, then laser etched to create a fine texture on the suit.

Next is craftsmanship – the details of the doll’s upper body are hand-carved and refined by a single artisan. Then it was hand-painted to create Spider-Man’s iconic blue and red suit.

Behind the figure is an arched, angular and faceted openwork bridge. They are surrounded by black-coated white gold hour markers, as are the hands. replica watches Price

Spider-Man uses the latest version of the Royal Oak concept case, which is still big and thick compared to previous generations, but more wear-resistant. It is 42mm in diameter and 15mm thick, but has shorter lugs and a curved profile. Like the latest Royal Oak models, the Spider-Man is equipped with strap quick releases, which explains why it comes with a pair of straps.

The case is made of titanium with a black ceramic bezel and crown. Being a Royal Oak, all surfaces, whether titanium or ceramic, are finished to a high level with a mix of brushed, polished and satin-brushed finishes.

This movement differs from that of the Panther in one key respect: the tourbillon has a full bridge instead of a flying tourbillon like the Panther. Wholesale cheap watches
