Richard Mille celebrates 10th Le Mans Classic

The 10th edition of the Le Mans Classic is back after a four-year hiatus due to the pandemic, and next summer will mark the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Richard Mille has been synonymous with high-tech watchmaking since he founded his namesake brand in 2001. Overall a testament to the brand’s extreme dedication to research and innovation, the exquisite creations from this luxury manufacturer are as pleasing to the eye as it is a technological marvel.

The watch brand has captured the hearts of many over the years and is a favorite of celebrities and athletes. The appeal is simple, and Richard Mille’s timepieces are different: the skeletonized tonneau-shaped case fits snugly around the wrist; on average, a watch weighs just 40 grams.

In addition to performing timekeeping functions on the wrist, watchmakers often have larger responsibilities. Just as Rolex has been the official timekeeper of Formula 1 and the Omega Olympics, Richard Mille fake has been a long-term partner of the Le Mans Classic since its inception in 2002. The eponymous founder is a well-known enthusiast of cars, especially classic racing, and it makes perfect sense that he was half of the duo that built the Le Mans Classic. At the annual event, drivers from all over the world come together to showcase more than 700 racing cars and 8,500 classic cars.

In order to defend the value of motorsport, Richard Mille even developed seven watches for the event. The latest model is called the “RM 029 Automatic Le Mans Classic” and is limited to 150 pieces. The limited series celebrates exceptional performance, ruggedness and reliability, and is a fitting tribute to the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The 49mm x 40mm case includes a white quartz TPT (Thin Layer Technology) middle case with green quartz TPT bezels on the front and back. Richard Mille’s signature TPT uses ultra-thin unidirectional carbon fiber sheets fused with quartz fibers. The significance of carbon fiber for motorsport lies in the telegram on the RM 029 Automatic Le Mans Classic, which embodies the sporty side of the brand.

The front bezel features a classic Le Mans-style white inlaid double stripe at the top and bottom. These clean lines work perfectly with the white rubber strap, a material that is comfortable on the wrist when a driver is driving a 1960s Ferrari or Ford at the Northwest Circuit at Le Mans.

The Richard Mille 029 Le Mans Classic watch has a sapphire crystal on the front and back. The time is displayed on the front and the charming RMSA7 movement is displayed on the back. The automatic winding system of the movement provides two energy barrels, providing a power reserve of approximately 55 hours. At the same time, the rotors can be calibrated to the wearer’s activity level, providing the ultimate precision a racing car deserves.

After four years of suspense, the 10th edition of the Le Mans Classic takes place from June 30 to July 3, 2022, and the motorsport event is once again invigorating the Sarthe region of France. Bathed in warm summer days, the 750 cars that had distinguished themselves at Le Mans between the 1920s and 1980s were divided into six groups to conquer the famous route.

Some iconic cars from the past can be seen at the event, such as the Bugatti T35, Jaguar D-Type, Lotus 15, Ford GT 40, Lola T70 or Chevron B31. These are the mechanical beasts that won in their respective age groups.

Other supporting races can also be seen during the event, such as the Group C category, where the field of around 50 cars raced between 1982 and 1993 demonstrated its prowess in the demonstration grid. Additionally, Endurance Racing Legends brings Le Mans Classics into a new era with a spectacular qualifying event that includes cars that appeal to a younger audience. Including these two grids, the event now covers the history of the 24 Hours of Le Mans from 1923 to 2010.

In addition to celebrating the 10th Le Mans Classic, the summer of 2023 will undoubtedly mark the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The success of this year’s Le Mans Classic has once again confirmed its status as the world’s largest gathering of classic cars and an unmissable classic racing event. wholesale replica watches
