A new interpretation of the 30-degree double tourbillon watch
The watch industry can provide a lot of things. For those who are interested in watches and whose internal mechanical structure is visible, there are more choices than ten / fifteen years ago. Similar to any other industry, in fact, only one brand is the absolute peak, in this case, the brand is Greubel Forsey. Their story-telling artwork is very beautiful, and recently they launched a new timepiece with the first fundamental invention, Double Tourbillon 30 °.
In the summer of 2010, I visited Switzerland and participated in the “Tour de Suisse” tour . I met Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey for the first time. At that time, the Double Tourbillon 30 ° Edition Historique watch had just come out. It became the first Greubel Forsey timepiece to win the Geneva Watch Awards. This year, Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey proposed a new, asymmetrical interpretation of this double tourbillon inclined at 30 degrees, called the double tourbillon Asymétrique.
Double Tourbillon 30 ° is the first basic invention of Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey. It enters the Double Tourbillon 30 ° Vision, Secret, Technique, the award-winning Historique version, and of course the invention work 1, we will show you Two other inventions.
For the new Double Tourbillon Asymétrique (double tourbillon), the movement has been completely rebuilt, and the patented Double Tourbillon turned the case 30 °. The rotation of the inner tourbillon cage for one minute remains the same as the rotation of the outer tourbillon cage for four minutes. The indication of the small seconds hand has moved from the 9 o’clock position to the 6 o’clock position, and now the power reserve is indicated by rotating the dial instead of the hands, but it remains at the 2 o’clock position. The number of each timepiece is engraved on a gold plate concentric with the power reserve indicator. In this case, it is prototype number 2.
The gold dial is made of gray, anthracite and black. The two black minute rings are placed concentrically with the satin hour dial and have a polished platinum hour scale. The hands and index fingers match the case – white or red gold, depending on the model. For clear legibility at night, the tips of the hour and minute hands are filled with luminescent material.
Double Tourbillon Asymétrique (double tourbillon asymmetry) has a unique version, including 11 white gold and 11 5N gold. The case diameter is 43.5 mm and the height is 16.13 mm. The sapphire crystal is installed on both sides of the cheap watch price, and the side of the case has “bumps”. This is one of the superb details of the new Double Tourbillon Asymétrique tourbillon; these openings provide a very special perspective for the double tourbillon system.
The main board has been treated in black, so that the tourbillon mechanism highlights the three-dimensional sense and depth of the double cage. The entire cage mechanism includes no less than 130 parts, and all parts are completed by hand. Take the steel tourbillon bridge as an example, the bridge is light black polished by hand.
The circular gear bridge has frosted, speckled (on the invisible side), with hand-polished countersinks and nickel-palladium-treated bevels. The bright metal bridge is juxtaposed with the sobriety of the black chrome motherboard. The bridge is fixed by four blue steel screws and supports two platinum plates: one with a separate watch number; the other with a separately numbered watch. The other signed “Greubel Forsey”. The springs of the two barrels arranged in series are made of gold, which together with the gold center wheel provide beautiful visual effects.
The nickel silver (also known as German silver) motherboard is frosted, has straight sides, hand-polished counterbores and bevels, and is black chrome plated. The entire manual winding movement contains 326 parts and draws power from two fast rotating barrels in series, which provides an optimal power reserve of 72 hours, which means that the power reserve is actually more but not the most Good motivation. Indicates the best timing speed. This is exactly what we expect from ultra-premium watch brands such as Greubel Forsey.
The balance wheel of the tourbillon has a variable inertia screw and Phillips terminal curve, which can vibrate 3Hz / 21,600 per hour.
Greubel Forsey’s Double Tourbillon Asymétric has a unique version.
